I did all that!? - 1.12

This is the end *cries in rhino7* I will truly miss the work put in and the objects designed! There is good news though (some could call it a light at the end -or start- of the tunnel) - this is only the beginning of our creative journey. The years that we get to be excited about and the times when we will create our best works are still ahead. Let us breathe in the pandemic fresh air and exhale deeply, simultaneously speaking life into our journey.  OBJECTIFIED I fell in love with some random chair that showed up in one of the scenes of the video (pictured here in the bottom right). When I tried to re-create it, I found that there were too many tapering edges for Tinkercad to be able to comprehend. I was convinced that I knew exactly what I was doing and that it was going to work out perfectly; in the bottom left of this image you can see how far my attempts got me. I changed gears and thought of changing the shape of the chair (this attempt is seen in the upper right). After hour...

The Finale - 1.11

Here we are facing the end of one chapter only to hop on another train, sit back down, pick up our pens and write another. It almost feels like we are ending where we began, hybridizing original designs (sounds a lot like remix culture if you ask me). This project was both a lot of fun to create as well as very challenging to find the happy medium between not only two peoples projects, but three. Phoebe was added into mine and Jillians group a couple days after the project was assigned and luckily they were both ready to put in the work. First thing we did was share screen shots of our favourite three designs and from there had the challenge to find a way that we could take aspects from each and mold them together. We went through many prototypes and often found ourselves going back to the very beginning and having to restart with the agreed upon basic shapes only to build, yet again, from there.
