The item has been chosen, disassembled, mapped out, and ready to be included into the re-modeled hall of fame (well, not yet, but soon).
IT'S A KITCHEN EGG TIME. I received this item for Christmas last year but never had to the heart to tell the giver that it didn't work so this item has been sitting in my kitchen for nearly a full year, doing nothing but collecting dust and waiting for its time in the spot light.
Taking this tiny mechanism was actually really difficult (and I ended up breaking a small part in the process -but no fear, it shouldn't affect the measurements or final outcome at all).
Now that I have the egg fully disassembled I plan to start measuring everything and inputting said measurements into Rhino (maybe a Word doc first just so I can be sure that I won't lose any vital information). I numbered all the gears and the base that they sat on in the order that are to be put back in place to further ensure that nothing is lost or misplaced.
It's safe to say that I am really excited to put this item into Rhino at last and watch all the small pieces come together.
