I took lots of inspiration for this assignment from a more well known jewlery brand that I follow called ‘Vitaly’. This brand is known for their gender neutral designs and willingness to push the boundaries in all their accessories. This brand has had an impact on me which is why I decided to use them as a starting place for my inspiration. Spiralling This represents how one constant can save and change everything. Designed for either the pinky or middle finger, this ring asserts itself. Angel The intention for this one is to be a thumb or index ring. It’s large body allows room for both the wearer and viewer to feel empowered.  Spartan Its sharp and demanding. The spartan shows no mercy and doesn't take no for an answer. This ring is meant to be worn on the index finger as a sign of strength. Clouds Fashion piece. This ring is a staple for every outfit. This was designed to be a pinky ring Enjoy! This assignment was a fun one to make because of the freedom that it allowed. There were a few set backs but in the end I was able to bring it to the same level of completion that I had imagined in the beginning. From the start I knew that I wanted to do a Mario set and originally it spanned more of the characters to envelope the whole series and not just Mario. At the beginning I had the idea to render these pieces as close to the real animation as possible but, as time went on I found myself having less and less time to be able to undertake such a large task. When we did the in-class ‘speed date,’ it was mentioned more than once that I should do more research on different ways that this world can be presented. At that point I immediately knew that I needed to alter my original idea and change it into something more realistic with my time limitations.
